Welcome to the "A la Une" Forum.
What is it? It is a forum where the administrator, the Gold members and the Photoclub Experts can publish news, annoncements or articles. You will find it under ENGLISH FORUMS > SITE NEWS & FEEDBACK > A la Une.

A short summary of the latest 5 articles is then displayed with a good visual on the home page. It grabs the attention of the visitors and you (your article) become a star

Regular registered users can comment on articles, but can not post new articles in the "A la Une" forum in order to avoid possible SPAM on our homepage.

Preparing an "A la Une" article however requires attention.
In order to achieve a good visual on the homepage you have to respect the following 3 easy steps:

1. Write your article. Give it a short and clear title. Avoid using big or bold fonts in the first 150 characters.

2. Prepare and optimise an image to be displayed as a background for your article on the homepage. Important: the image has to be .jpg with size 580x260 pixels. Please optimize its size for a web publishing (using the "save for web" function in Photoshop for example). A recomended size is between 20 - 40 kB.

3. Use the "Attach Files" function on the message editing page (when you write a new post you will find it under the main text editor). Upload your image ... save ... and voila your new article should apear in the "A la Une" forum and on Photoclub's homepage. In case you need to illustrate your article with more attached files (up to 5 allowed), please upload the photo your prepared for the homepage last.
