What is a Challenge at Photoclub?

It is a bi-monthly contest. Here are the rules:

1. At the beginning of each second month a subject will be choosen (Ex. "City Lights" or "Shocked Expressions" or more abstract like "Street Dreams" , etc)

2. You will be able to upload your works during 2 months in a dedicated for the Challenge directory, but it wont be possible to vote.

3. At the end of the 2nd month voting will be possible, but you will be able to vote only ONCE (give 1 vote) for THE picture you like most.

If for some reasons there are different time conditionals they will be published either in the challenge annoncement post in the forums or in the challenge warroom in the galleries.

4. Then the voting will close and the picture with higher score will win the Challenge.

5. The Challenge directory will close (no more uploads possible), but pictures will remain visible for visitors and members.

6. A new Challenge directory will open for the next challenge which will have a different subject.

7. The winner of the Previous Challenge will have the privilege to choose the next Challenge subject!

Hello,

Despite the quantity of rain we enjoyed here in Europe in the last month there is no enough works published in the Rain&Reflecton challenge.
I think rules have to change, at least for the first contest, to assure there is a minimum of competing works.

My proposal is: contest will close for submiting and will open for your votes when there are:
- at least 10 pictures;
- at least 5 authors competing;

i believe it is a better competitions kick-off strategy.

It took quite long, but now you can vote for your favorite image in the first photo challenge in PhotoClub.

THKS - the size of the police you used tells by itself how long it took to get to this voting step ,) - Hope for the next one to come, the police size will come back to normal - lol

Hello All,
From rainy Belgium the land of perpetual rains and grey skyes. Perfect for your new challenge. No shadows and harsh sunlight to complicate things and make our life miserable... Your on budd. Gotta find time though..
By the by congrats are in order for Melody and her super achievements. Perhaps she could share her talents with some of us common folks...

I did'nt expected beeing cited this way, on your post here, Blue-Panet - You're giving me more honor than I deserve : I consider myself as a gifted beginner, not knowing much yet about "making a picture" rather that taking it, especially as pure technic is concerned - Until I do not master this part better, and aside from the fact I appreciate all compliments about my work, I won't be satisfied at all - If I really have what you believe, the minimum is to include a solid technic behind it. But, many thanks in any case. Never hurt, such an unexpected compliment

- I would lie saying the contrary.

I'm glad I'm not living under rainy and misty days like in Belgium : I would not be able to achieve a single picture under those conditions, though I appreciate so much that type of pictures too.

Now it is your duty to choose the subject off the next challenge

Please just create a new thread in the forum called Challenge #2 and give us the subject.
I will create then a new dedicated gallery for the new challenge. Rules will remain the same - contest close when there are at least 10 works by at least 5 authors.
